My practice is analogue and direct. I cut, stick, invert and imagine my own versions of pattern, texture, colour and shape.
Over the past few years I have built up a portfolio of work that uses hand based analogue methods of printing and mark making, whether that be into a fabric or a paper, I’ve manipulated the materials and assembed layers using printing processes such as mono, lino, etchings and screenprint.
Doing a degree in printed textiles evolved form the love of drawing, particularly leaning towards the love of pattern. My inspiration comes largely from the juxtaposition of architecture and plant life, and the connections between the two. When i draw i tend to break it down into simple elements and shapes - focusing on outline and shape.
